Circumference formula circle is a tool uses to find the circumference of circle. This tool just take radius as an

input and returns circumference as an output. Circumference is used for finding the complete periphery

details so that one can calculate the proper fencing required to cover the whole area. This is generally used

during the plot distribution purpose. This helps in understanding the difference of one’s plot to other:-

Circumference of circle = 2 x pie x r

This can be understood by the detailed examples, which are shown below:-

 

Example 1:- Find Circumference of circle when diameter is 140 cm.


Solution:- Given the diameter of circle, d is 140 cm.

 So the radius of circle is (radius is always half of the diameter), r = d/2 = 140/2 = 70 cm

 Now circumference of circle = 2 x pie x r

 Therefore Circumference of circle, C = 2 x 22/7 x 70

 So C = 440 cm.

 Hence the circumference of circle = 440 cm.

 
Example 2:- Find Circumference of circle when diameter is 280 cm.


Solution:- Given the diameter of circle, d is 280 cm.

 So the radius of circle is, r = d/2 = 280/2 = 140 cm.

 Now circumference of circle = 2 x pie x r

 Therefore Circumference of circle, C = 2 x 22/7 x 140

 So C = 880 cm.

 Hence the circumference of circle = 880 cm.
