In algebra we gone through some mathematical topics related to practical problems in our daily life by using signs and symbol to make the process easier. The main objective of the algebra is to make the process of learning mathematical concepts and the methods of solving those practical problems more interesting and fruitful.
A list of formulae is given below. These formulae will help a lot to work out some problems.

Algebra 1 formulas: -
·         (a + b)^2 = a^2 + 2 a b + b ^2 = (a –b)^2 + 4 a b
·         (a - b)^2 = a^2 - 2 a b + b ^2 = (a +b)^2 - 4 a b
·         (a + b) (a – b) = a^2 – b^2
·         a^2 + b^2 = (a + b)^2 – 2 a b = (a – b) ^2 + 2 a b
·         (a + b)^2 + (a – b) ^2 = 2 (a^2 + b^2)
·         (a + b) ^2 – (a – b) ^2 = 2 (a^2 + b^2)
·         (a + b) ^2 + (a – b) ^2 = 4 a b
·         (a + b)^3 = a^3 + 3 a^2 b + 3 a b^2 + b^3 = a^3 + b^3 + 3 a b (a + b)
·         (a - b)^3 = a^3 - 3 a^2 b + 3 a b^2 - b^3 = a^3 - b^3 - 3 a b (a - b)
·         (a + b) (a^2 – ab + b^2 ) = a^3 + b^3 = (a + b) ^3 – 3 a b (a + b)
·         (a – b) (a^2 + ab + b^2) = a^3 – b^3 = (a – b)^3 + 3ab (a –b).
